By utilising a UK based private laboratory, MediChecks.com are able to deliver fast and accurate results confidentially. Their laboratory employs modern techniques and continuous development programmes using high quality medical and scientific expertise. This means that Body Beautiful (UK) and its clients are provided with the most up to date, appropriate and ethical services.
Pre-Travel Medical Assessment
Body Beautiful is the first and, at present, only operator of cosmetic surgery holidays to Kuala Lumpur to medically screen all of their clients, in the UK prior to travelling, to assess your current health status so that you can confidently travel abroad for cosmetic surgery without the fear of cancellation upon arrival due to undetected ill health knowing that you are fit and healthy to undergo both the procedures you desire and general anaesthesia. The pre-operative screens have been set up using "best practice" to evaluate your health before surgery and comprise of no less than 44 separate diagnostic blood/clotting tests including:-

This, in turn, gives invaluable peace of mind. The medical screening takes places at a hospital convenient to your place of residence and/or work at one of 682 test centres accross of the United Kingdom.
Your pre-operative screen can be arranged within a matter of days and the results are usually known within 24 to 48 hours of the laboratory receiving the samples.
The cost of the medical screening assessment is included within your fixed price surgery package.
Post-operative Assessment
Body Beautiful is the first and, at present, only operator of cosmetic surgery holidays to Kuala Lumpur to offer a post-operative assessment following your return to the UK which will supplement the after care that you receive from the Consultants and our staff whilst in Malaysia.
The management of post-operative wounds can become especially challenging if complicated by an infection, dehiscence, and fistula formation. These are all risks associated with cosmetic surgery whether surgery takes place at home or abroad. Clinical infection occurs when the bacteria colonisation in and around the wound site rises to a critical level and can lead to a deterioration of the wound condition. Wound healing may then be severely compromised.
Whilst your Consultant in Malaysia will have clinically reviewed the wounds and incisions before your return to the UK to ensure that there are no such complications and everything is healing well, for further peace of mind, our post-operative assessment in the UK will ensure that you are reviewed again subsequently, in the comfort on your own home, by a private fully qualified Doctor who will give specific advice on the clinical condition of the wound/incision and what action should be taken, in the unlikely event, that a problem is developing. We will also liaise with you to ensure that you receive the most appropriate medical advice.
Further, as part of our post-operative assessment, non-dissolvable sutures will also be removed in accordance with your Consultants instructions as can any dissolvable sutures that are not dissolving sufficiently:-
• Consultation with full qualified private Doctor at your home
• Suture / stitch removal (if necessary)
• Detailed wound assessment and reporting
• Swab sampling of wound area for infection
• Laboratory testing and analysis of swab
• Dedicated HelpLine for medical advice and support
This post-operative assessment can be arranged, either prior to your surgery or upon your return, for a supplement to your fixed price surgery package of just £160.00.
