Where do I start? Dr Soma is not only a fantastic Surgeon but a truly lovely man. He is very honest and tells you straight about expectations etc. He put my mind at rest as soon as I met him and if I was worried or wanted to know anything he was there. A great man.

Appreciating it is only 2 weeks or so since your surgery, and there is still healing left to do, are you happy with the outcome of your surgery?
Yes. I am not in any pain, apart from a little swelling everything is looking great. I’m very happy, this has changed how I feel about myself completely.

How did you find your accommodation and the facilities at The Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel & Spa?
Fantastic. When we pulled up outside the hotel I couldn’t believe it. The hotel was to the highest standard, the food facilities were brilliant, I will definitely be going back and taking my family.

How did you find Malaysia as a destination?
I would have liked to have seen more but what I did see before my operation was lovely, a beautiful place. Definitely intend to return.

Our staff on the ground in Malaysia are very important to us, how did you find them?
Brilliant. The staff were angels, anything I needed they were able to help. As I had my daughter with me, they looked after her making sure she was ok while I was in hospital, which took the worry away. They were an amazing help to us and a lovely people. I will be staying in touch with them.

Would you recommend Body Beautiful and, if so, why?
Yes and already have because the care you receive is exceptional. The hospital and staff were fantastic value for money is excellent and just to have everything arranged on your behalf is a bonus.

Did we meet your expectations?
Yes definitely plus more. I didn’t really know what to expect as ‘id never had this done before but I have absolutely no complaints. Everything was truly amazing and I was very well looked after from arrival to departure and Paul and Dr Soma are both available anytime now I’m home.

Our staff on the ground in Malaysia are very important to us, how did you find them?
Extremely helpful with all aspects of my stay from medical questions to the best places to eat and shop! The limo driver for our return journey to the airport, however, was awful! BB - The driver was supplied to us by the hotel. I have immediately taken this up with the senior management within the resort and the driver concerned will be identified and action taken. This was out of the control of BB but I will do everything in power to ensure that this driver does not chauffer any of our clients in the future.
Would you recommend Body Beautiful and, if so, why?
Absolutely. Everyone & everything was fantastic.

Did we meet your expectations?
More than. I took my Mother with me and she said it was the best holiday she had ever had. Despite having had surgery, we had a ball!!

The accommodation and facilities at the hotel were excellent including the staff. The hotel is very well situated being next to the mall and the theme park. Being so close to the mall is very important for people who've had surgery as it enables you to get out without too much exertion or effort.

It's difficult to say exactly due to not having a lot of time after surgery for exploring, though I did manage a bit of sightseeing. However I can't fault it.

Why did you choose to have your cosmetic surgery abroad?
Initially, because of cost. It's thousands of pounds cheaper. However, then I became concerned about the growing health risks in British hospitals. Knowing that I'd have open wounds, I felt safer having surgery abroad than in a UK hospital in which I'd no doubt - and I've seen this at first hand - be susceptible to MRSA etc.


Why did you choose Body Beautiful to make those arrangements for you?
The fact that Body Beautiful is a British-based company was very important. With that, there was a sense of knowing it wouldn't be all hype and talk and no action. From first visit to the website, it was clear that Body Beautiful is an expert provider of surgery holidays. There was never and never has been any attempt to conceal information or hide stuff from us. Everything we wanted to know was either on the site or answered by Paul at the other end of an email. This personal service was exceptional, and was incredibly reassuring. Also, the media element was vital - the documentaries and magazine cuttings were, to me, proof that there was nothing 'dodgy' or questionable about Body Beautiful, as you may usually be concerned with 'internet businesses'. They're an open book, and witnessing the BBC visit the hospital and undergo the procedure was the clincher to the deal. Not only that, but I was also given the surgeon's CV, which matched and even bettered that of a UK-based surgeon at a leading Harley Street cosmetic surgery provider.

How did we handle the arrangements for you in the UK?
Perfectly. It was easier than booking a normal holiday. The flights were found and offered to us, every single question was answered swiftly, concisely and accurately, and there was no pressure to pay any fees for consultations etc.

How did you find your Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr. Soma?
An absolute diamond. One of the most calm, reassuring, knowledgeable people I think I've ever met. As soon as you speak to him, you get the impression that your surgery actually matters. You're not just 'another patient', you're an individual whom he wants to help improve confidence, or whatever your particular goal is. He was warm, friendly, and highly amusing. And clearly an expert, of that there was no question.

How did you find the hospital, Subang Jaya Medical Centre?
Excellent. Cleaner than any British hospital by miles. The nursing staff, admin staff and everyone there was amazing to us. You got the impression that these were nurses who wouldn't be complaining of low wages, long hours, no breaks etc, but instead are simply happy to be nursing people to health and helping people. It was so refreshing and brilliant to see. Every need was taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble.

Appreciating it is approximately less than 2 weeks since your surgery, and there is still a lot of healing left to do, are you happy with the outcome of your surgery?
I am very happy. I actually wish I had had Gynaecomastia surgery at the same time, as I was told the exact results to expect from liposuction. I have got rid of the fatty deposits I was desperate to, and at my initial consultation Dr Soma was so honest and told me I wouldn't lose my belly (I'd need a tummy tuck) and I couldn't lose my breast tissue. So I knew what to expect and the results are brilliant. The wounds have healed already, and there are no scars! Tiny holes that are barely visible. I can't wait to come back for more!

How did you find your accommodation and the facilities at The Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel & Spa?
Superb. This must be one of THE nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. It's what you would call posh in England, but without the kind of feeling that people were looking down their noses at you. Every single member of staff was so incredibly polite. It's almost like we were celebrities. The food was simply outstanding, and the water park, swimming pools, mall etc were amazing - it's just a shame I couldn't swim after surgery. Of course, it's also ideally located for the hospital and Dr Soma's clinic.

How did you find Malaysia as destination?
Good. The hotel is some distance from Kuala Lumpur City Centre, but in a taxi it cost just £5 to get there. We didn't get chance to explore nearly as much as we would have liked in two weeks.

Our staff on the ground in Malaysia are very important to us, how did you find them?
Our representative was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. She was so warm, friendly, amiable, personable and chatty. She explained everything so perfectly, and any questions we had were always answered. It was like having a PA - she was there for us 24 hours a day, and as she's been through it all before with clients, she can tell you exactly how things will wok and what will happen. She's a beautiful, kind person, and we're really pleased to have got to know her. She even took us out for dinner! Chandaran (sorry, don't know the spelling), our driver, was also a fantastic man.

Would you recommend Body Beautiful and, if so, why?
Yes, I already have! I wouldn't be surprised if Body Beautiful is inundated with requests now! I'm already planning to return for my next surgery, and seeing as I work as a journalist, I will likely publish my next trip in a magazine, or potentially TV, depending on equipment etc. I'd like nothing more than to spread the word about Body Beautiful, as I'm over the moon with the whole experience from start to finish. There are many life changing experiences you can have in your life, and this was one of them for me. I'd encourage anyone who isn't happy with a certain aspect of their appearance to take advantage of Body Beautiful's obvious expertise to change their life for the better.

I am very happy with the results but I do still have a little numbness in my neck and soreness behind one ear Nothing major.(BB - The face, following a facelift, can feel numb for weeks to months so this is perfectly normal).

The hotel was excellent, really nice staff. Found Malaysia in general very friendly and courteous.

Very good except one thing, it was said in the paper work that if you require anything being done after the procedure then you will have to pay, when it should have worded, if you require anything anytime being done you will have to pay, i.e. ECG, blood test, chest X-ray (BB - The packages are fully inclusive however, occasionally, the Consultant or Anaesthetist may require further specific tests. The cost of these additional tests are negligible and the costs of which are advised in advance of travel in case this arises).

I was originally supporting my wife for this – as no one in the UK would consider her as she has asthma and is on steroids.

Everything seemed ok, although in hindsight had to have blood tests again plus x-rays, as told after 3 month tests in the UK are out of date…these should have been carried out within a 3 month period. (BB - The blood tests in the UK were undertaken at that time so as to ensure there was no medical reason to prevent surgery from taking place and done at that time so as to facilitate arrangements i.e. booking of flights so as to avoid disappointment. The Consultant felt it prudent and good practice to repeat them)

The only small drawback to my whole experience was the time onboard the aircraft. I like to get to destination quickly. Malaysia is a beautiful place and full of beautiful smiling people.

Yes. I am quite happy to look in the mirror now whereas before the operation my confidence was flagging and I flinched every time I caught a glimpse of myself looking tired and jaded even when I wasn’t. There is still some way to go, but so far so good!

We could not believe how beautiful the hotel and spa was. It is the best hotel we have ever had the pleasure at which to stay.

I was meant to have the Buccal Fat Removal, but as soon as he saw me he said that I did not need it and explained thoroughly the reasons. He even showed me photos which put my mind at rest.

Very Happy. Swollen, battered and bruised ( actually bruising is a lot less than I expected which is good) but its only been a week and I can already se some results so I am more than pleased.

The resort is out of this world! Gorgeous, comfy, spacious rooms, helpful friendly staff who wouldn’t do enough for you and the breakfast was delicious considering it was a buffet, the food was still very good quality. I had a beautiful view of the park and the shopping mall was only a five-minute walk.

Beautiful! Friendly, courteous people. Lots of shopping malls, cheap food and drinks. What more could you ask for? Actually probably better weather as it was the rainy season but I did spend a lot of time in my room resting so it didn’t matter too much. It was still lovely and warm though.

The hospital, Subang Jaya Medical Centre was of a very good standard. I didn't have any worries about my stay there at all. The staff were absolutely amazing, they were very gentle and made me as comfortable as they possibly could, which in my experience makes all the difference.

Appreciating it is only a 2 weeks since your surgery, and there is still a lot of healing left to do, are you happy with the outcome of your surgery?
I am extremely happy with the results of my Breast Augmentation surgery. My size is perfect and already I have a natural looking result which is what I wanted. My scars are so neat, I didn't suffer any bruising and the swelling has pretty much gone now too. I know that they are going to look better and better as time goes on !

How did you find your accommodation and the facilities at The Pyramid Tower Hotel?
The accommodation and facilities at The Pyramid Tower Hotel were great, you wouldn't need to leave there during your stay if you didn't want to ! It was the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Malaysia is a beautiful country, and it was great that I got to see a little bit of it whilst on my surgery holiday. We are going back there on our travels later on this year so that we can see more !

Why did you choose Body Beautiful?
I read about Body Beautiful in a magazine and, as such, made an initial enquiry. I had been looking around at different countries for my surgery and, when I received the package, it was extremely competitive compared to the rest. All my questions were answered quickly and, generally, my e-mails were answered within 24 hours. All of the arrangements were hassle free and the staff were so helpful.

What about the information that you received?
I sent lots of e-mails and everything was answered fully. I received enough information to make an informed choice and, at no stage, did I feel pressurised.

How did you find your Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr. Nasir?
Dr Nasir was very approachable, knowledgeable and professional. I felt extremely confident in him. He had a sense of humour that made me immediately feel at ease. I was given a full and thorough explanation of the procedure and what, exactly, he was going to do. Dr. Nasir spoke excellent English and communication was not a problem. Before I travelled, he was able to give me a diagnosis from my pictures which was extremely comprehensive and, indeed, he picked up upon a number of things that other Surgeons I had personally seen didn't.

So what about the results, 10 days on from surgery?
I am very pleased. I just wanted my breasts lifted and to be pert but, with the augmentation, it has given them a great consistency and shape and made me look symmetrical and in proportion.

How did you find Malaysia?
Beautiful. A real experience. It was a lovely environment to recuperate and so peaceful. There was lots to do and the people were so friendly and kind.

What about the hotel?
Lovely. The hotel was in such a good location for everything. The staff were so obliging and couldn't do enough for you. The room was very nice and the hotel had great facilities with a lovely swimming pool. It had everything that you needed.

How were the Body Beautiful staff in resort?
Our representative was very helpful, supportive and approachable. He certainly went far beyond the cause of duty and nothing was too much trouble. All the little extra touches were so appreciated and a lovely gesture. I always felt that he was available and there if there was a problem.

was thinking about having cosmetic surgery for quite some time now but it was just too expensive and so I just kept putting it off. I considered going abroad for cosmetic surgery as I heard and read a lot of stories.

It was a very beautiful country and we would love to go again. We did the Kuala Lumpur city tour, went to the famous Batu Caves and Putrajaya, where we saw the floating mosque. The best thing we loved was that Malaysia was a Muslim country so we could eat Halah meat.

To be honest, I was thinking about having the surgery at home and also having my annual holiday in the Far East. It just made sense to combine both and save a considerable amount of money. It was handled very well, all emails were answered within 3-6 hours on receipt and I was kept informed of all arrangements. They have an open-door policy whereby I can ring them anytime with any questions.

How did you find your Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr. Nasir?
Throughly nice gentleman, excellent bedside manner, explains everything, ie procedures, complications and always asks if you have any questions, even when you are in the theatre prior to being put to sleep. Visits every morning, again explains everything. Always felt that he had time for you and that he is not in a rush to go somewhere else. Very humble, not arrogant at all and even gets off his chair and comes across the room to shake your hands when you visit him in the clinic. Again he will advise you post operative before you fly back to UK and is happy to receive any emails.

Because I flew to Penang 4 days post operatively, he was happy to give me contacts of cosmetic surgeons (his friends) in Penang should I require one. Needless to say I did not require one! A genuine caring Dr who has time for his patients!

Appreciating it is only approximately 6 weeks or so since your surgery, and there is still a lot of healing left to do, are you happy with the outcome of your surgery?
Very happy, even immediately after the surgery. I expressed my fears of keloid scaring to Dr Nasir pre operatively and to my surprise there is no sign of keloid at all. The scar is healing beautifully and is so much better than my previous caesarean scar (operated in UK) which was keloid. I had lipo on my flanks, thighs and buttocks and Dr Nasir did an excellent job of it, my buttocks are now uplifted and thighs are beautifully slim. I am amazed at the results, so is my husband!

How did you find Malaysia as destination?
Hot and sunny, relaxing, excellent food and shopping. Very enjoyble but please bear in mind that the main objective of going to Malaysia was to have surgery therefore rest, let the healing begin as I know that when I return to UK, there is very little chance of a good rest. Shopping/sightseeing can wait or can be done in very small doses.

My room at the Sunway Lagoon was fine, but for me this hotel is too busy as you don’t use the water park and the shopping mall is very busy too. For what I had just had, a small hotel with nice gardens would have been so much better but all in all, if you don’t mind lots of children running about, and all the hussle and bussle its ok. But not for me.
BB – Julie travelled in August where the hotel runs at full capacity (as do most). Just like any destination around the world, during August, there is an influx of children and families given school holidays. Ordinarily, the hotel is very quiet and a perfect environment for relaxing and recuperating which most client’s comment upon and specifically refer to within their testimonials.

How did you find Malaysia as a destination?
Great. I come here every year. The people are friendly, the food is good, you can get anything to eat, the shopping is great and cheap. It is a very vibrant city, it brings me back each year. It’s a must visit place.

I’m not sure I would as I had complications and being so far away from home was awful. Having said that, I am so pleased with my surgery and I didn’t know I had hernias and so I’m viewing it as a blessing in disguise.
Dawn was unaware that she had a large double hernia that was at a very advanced stage. This was corrected during the Abdominoplasty surgery but, given the extent of the surgery, increased hospitalisation was required and her stay extended so she received the best possible care from Dr. Soma.

Did we meet your expectations?
I thought I may have got a call from BB to see how I was feeling. It is not easy to adjust when being away for over three weeks and feeling poorly and low. I also think you should recommend being checked before having surgery (tummy tuck) for hernias.
Our team on the ground in Malaysia provided constant support and assistance. They were always on hand visiting and escorting to consultations. Dawn’s progress was constantly monitored by both our team and Dr. Soma. Her progress was constantly conveyed to us. Dawn had a full Haematology and Biochemistry screen in the UK prior to surgery comprising of 44 separate diagnostic blood tests. There were no abnormalities reported.

Because it is half the price than the UK, so I could afford without borrowing money and to be honest I would recuperate better not being near my business - If I had the surgery in the UK then I would have probably been back in work in 3 days being self employed, because I was over there I had no choice but to chill out and relax.

Very good, I was feeling a little apprehensive with the Hospital in terms of the nurses that were in the private wing of the hospital but as soon as Prof Jasmi came to see me and we spoke I had no apprehension at all and knew I was making the right decision, same with the Anaesthetist (guessed the spelling). Very open and explained everything to me and understood my position.

Lost nearly a stone in weight in 10 days, I am realistic to know that it will not come off as fast as this and its probably not safe to lose so fast but I am planning to lose about 5Kg a month. I am able to train lightly with no problems.

Accommodation is very good and I will probably return in the next few years with family for a holiday.

Fantastic. My smile hasn't stopped! The transformation is truly amazing. When I was told how much skin and fat had been removed, I just knew everything was going to be brilliant. I didn't even have too much pain which was a bonus. My life has just begun again at 35.

Whilst I couldn't undergo medical screening in the UK given the short time frame, I was put at ease by having fairly extensive medical tests, including a full blood test, in Malaysia before my surgery and I knew, therefore, that I was fit and healthy for the surgery. It is a nervous proposition about having cosmetic surgery abroad and many other companies just published brief details of their Surgeons. It was great to be provided with a full curriculum vitae of Dr. Nasir which was most impressive. This, along with his accreditation as a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), again, made me feel at ease.

What about your Consultant, Dr. Nasir, and the advice that he gave you at the pre-operative consultation?
Dr. Nasir was so nice and kind. As soon as I met him, I felt totally at ease just by the way he was. He was really jolly, bubbly but very professional and thorough. He was very approachable. He listened carefully to my concerns before giving me his opinion and advice. He seemed very knowledgeable indeed and understood totally my concerns. He suggested to me that liposuction to my tummy would not solve my complaint and that the best way forward would be to extend, very slightly, the existing tummy tuck at the ends of the existing scars which would get rid of the pockets of fat and give me a totally flat stomach which I wanted through the tummy tuck that I had had in the UK a couple of years ago.

How did you find the hospital and nursing staff?
The nurses were very professional and polite. Very caring. Every time I called, they were immediately there. Nothing was too much trouble. They constantly did my observations and monitored me closely which was very reassuring. Both my gown and bed line was changed daily. Dr. Nasir came to see me every day and made it clear to me that if I had any concerns simply to tell the nurses and they would call him and he would see me immediately.

How are your results 1 week after surgery?
Good. My jeans are already loose just a week after surgery and I still have a lot of swelling and am wearing a compression garment! The pockets of fat at sides of my existing tummy tuck done in the UK have gone and I now have a totally flat tummy. My thighs are still swollen and bruised following the liposuction but, so far, I am very pleased indeed.

What about the hotel, Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel?
It was absolutely brilliant. It was a 5 Star hotel and I would give it 10 out 10. The room service was excellent! The hotel staff were so hospitable and polite. The facilities were amazing. It had everything from a fantastic pool area to a spa and gym etc.

Was it a benefit to have a British representative in Malaysia?
Absolutely. I felt totally at ease straightway. It was very easy to communicate. It made everything so much easier. This was another reason why I choose Body Beautiful. I knew I wouldn't be alone.

Did all the arrangements run smoothly?
Definitely.

Would you recommend Body Beautiful?
I already have done! I will be coming with my friend who wants a Breast Augmentation. This time, for me, it will be just for a holiday and to enjoy Malaysia fully and give my friend support.

So what did you think about Malaysia as a destination?
It was wonderful. It was a beautiful clean country and the people were great. There was so much to do and so little time! I absolutely loved the Chinese market. All that haggling. The shopping was fantastic and such good value for money.

Do you have any further comments?
Everything was done for me. I didn't have to worry about a thing.

Why did you choose to have your cosmetic surgery abroad?

I chose my surgery abroad as, obviously, it is much cheaper to have this procedure done in Kuala Lumpur than here in Australia.
